SUMMARY:
Yourkeys is the first online platform that manages the sale of new build properties from start to finish, for homebuyers and property professionals. With a separately managed website, focused on B2B, so all the stakeholders involved in the purchase process ( developers, solicitors, mortgage brokers, estate agents etc), the decision was  pre-defined to go in the direction of a mobile app focused on house buyers and their needs. This application would allow the users to track  their property purchase, receiving push notifications for every update and communicate directly with all the stakeholders involved in the purchase process.

Research Methods
Research and Findings

Interview Objectives: Through secondary research and interviews, I gained an initial understanding of the target user’s networking motivations, goals and barriers. Six professionals who are house-owners or in the process to buy a house participated the interview.

Survey Findings

42 homeowners across England and Wales were reached out. They asked which day-to-day brand has the best digital experience, and the overwhelming majoriry of respondents felt that Amazon was best in this area.
Of those, 45% ranked “progress tracking” as the main piece of functionality that they would like to have when selling/buying their homes.
Following our customer interviews, we synthesised our findings and were able to create a customer journey and persona which were presented and discussed with the the team.
These exercises formed a great foundation to move into feature ideation and prioritisation.
Personas

In order to illustrate the key audience of my product, and to help potential stakeholders gain more sympathy for the target issues, I decided to build personas. After combining the major findings from the interviews and the surveys with other research reports I gathered online, I listed the insights I had developed which could impact the future design.
